Meet the 2022 Ford Maverick, a compact pickup truck with a full-size heart. Padre Balli bound? Planning a weekend in Wimberley? Need to pick up a large load from Sutherlands on Staples Street? Believe it or not, there's a truck that not only has the versatility to handle all three but also boasts better fuel efficiency than some sedans. You say "THATS BULLSHIT" and walk out, but the dealer can legally do this and its really how Ford expects it to go.ĭealer within X time frame then sends you a check for $400 after reimbursement to make your doc fee truly $99.Ford Maverick For Sale in Corpus Christi, TX Dealer can sell you the car for $27,400 plus their $499 doc fee. ![]() Or as an example you buy car A for X-Plan of $27,400 with $99 doc fee print out. ![]() I have talked to so many dealerships where salespeople don't understand that caveat. That is how it worked exactly on my first Fusion. The most important thing is that they can provide you a print out showing XYZ etc for doc fee but they are allowed to collect their own doc fee and issue you a check after the transaction and reimbursement happens. The 2nd time the dealer didn't want to do with deal with A/Z and sold me under. First time I didn't even know what I was doing. You really forgot the most important thing with these plans though and I have done this twice on A/Z with 2 Fusions. I once used a D-plan for my in-laws (which is allowed), and I had to provide them with a copy of my marriage license to prove my relationship to them. Sometimes, Ford will ask for evidence to justify the plan that was used. Also, if any of these plans are used, the dealer is required to give you a copy of the factory invoice with your purchase. In these States, the legally required amount is charged. In a few States, a flat Doc fee amount is required by State law. AZXD-plans always have an exact 100.00 or 75.00 fee on your purchase order (depending on the plan used). One way to tell the difference is the amount of procurement (doc) fee they are charging you. Sometimes, a dealer will tell a customer that they are getting a "plan-price" of some sort, but in reality, they are just discounting the price and trying to make them feel special. The amount reimbursed depends on the type of plan that is used. The dealer receives a flat reimbursement from Ford for using these plans. You are allowed 2 to 6 PINS per year (depending on when you were hired/retired)Īll of these plans are regulated by Ford's software (which also generates the PIN). Again, you have to get a A/Z plan PIN to claim this price. It has the biggest savings of all the plans. This price is usually fairly close to the factory invoice price.Ī/ZPlan is for current employees of Ford (A) and retirees from Ford (Z). You are allowed 2-4 PINS per year, depending on the agreement between Ford and the employer. Some dealers will get the info from your employer for you. You also have to get an X-plan PIN number through your employer to claim this price. X-Plan is for employees of companies that are partners and/or are affiliated with Ford Motors. If a dealer is using the D-plan for a non-employee (usually by saying that a person is an employee's family member when they are not,) they could be fined, lose order allocation, or even lose their franchise. Dealership employees are allowed 2 PINS per year. It is lower than the X-Plan price, but higher than the A/Z plan price. You have to have a unique D-Plan PIN in order to receive it. Here is what the plans are and how they work:ĭ-Plan is for employees of a Dealership, and their families. I have noticed quite a few posts here regarding purchasing plans from Ford Motors, so I thought it might be a good idea to clear up some misconceptions about AZX&D plan pricing.
